Construction Plumber

The role

Thor Plumbing & Heating is looking for a Construction Plumber to work on commercial and institutional mechanical construction projects. This role focuses on installing plumbing systems from drawings and specifications while working closely with Foremen, other trades and the project team.

You’ll be part of a field crew responsible for delivering safe, accurate and high-quality installations throughout the life of a project.

What you’ll do

• Install plumbing and mechanical piping systems on construction projects
• Read and work from mechanical drawings, specifications and layouts
• Complete rough-in, fixture installation and final connections
• Measure, cut, assemble and install piping and related components
• Test completed systems and identify installation issues
• Coordinate work with Foremen, apprentices and other trades
• Maintain a safe and organized work area
• Follow project specifications, applicable codes and Thor safety standards

What we’re looking for

• Experience working in commercial or institutional plumbing construction
• Journeyperson or Red Seal Plumber certification preferred
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation practices
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications
• Strong workmanship and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew
• Strong safety awareness
• Valid driver’s licence
